Many of you want to know how the Coronavirus is affecting evictions. Each of the 67 Counties have put in place different policies and guidance on evictions. In some counties, the Sheriff will not execute writs of possession, commonly known as lockouts, while in other counties the courts are not accepting new eviction filings. Some courts are closed to the public, and we expect this list to continue growing. For the most up to date information in your county, we recommend going directly to your clerk’s website.
